We did it!

Our fundraising has been on hold for the last month or so as we were put in line for new funding from the Council. Four of our fundraisers went to the meeting and sat in the public gallery and we can tell you that the Council has approved the rest of the funding for our pelican crossing!

There is no doubt that Gowerton would never have been considered if we had not fundraised and met the Council half-way. A massive thanks to everyone who has contributed towards the appeal!

Stay tuned for news of the crossing being installed!

No funding from Welsh Assembly

We have heard that our bid for funding under the "Safe Routes In The Community" scheme has been turned down by the Welsh Assembly :(

February 22, 2009

Two donations

We have received two donations - one of £168 from the Conservative Club, Gowerton and one of £242 from Gowerton Community Council. This brings our current total up to £8,200.

We are still waiting to hear from the Welsh Assembly regarding our application for funding from the Safe Routes in the Community Scheme.

We have a few events coming up - Mark Wells will be running the Llanelli Marathon for us and in April we are planning a Craft and Produce Fair. Also on March 12th there will be a Schools Concert in St Catherine's Church, Gorseinon. Watch this space!
