New artwork

Mr Phil Organ of Swansea Metropolitan University has kindly supplied us with the following artwork to be used on posters for events etc. We think it's a fantastic drawing - thank you very much, Phil! :)

This morning the Gowerton Pelican Appeal was presented with a generous donation of £500 from the PTA of Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr.

Pictured below are the headmistress of the school, Mrs Katherine Davies and members of the PTA presenting the cheque to Maureen Saysell, Ann Davies and Gaynor Thomas (fundraisers)


Our grand total currently stands at £1442.72.

One Month In

Today marks one month since the start of the Pelican Crossing appeal. 

So far we have raised about £600. 

A collection from Dunvant Male Voice Choir raised £30 tonight, and £50 was taken in Bike Ride sponsorship from residents of Cecil Road and Park Road - many thanks to them all! :)
